THE CLIENT
Reha Technology is a market-leader in advanced medical robotic technologies. Their cutting-edge work helps rehabilitation and improves quality of life for patients with upper and lower extremity neurological movement disorders.
OUR GOAL
Our client needed to recode the Graphic User Interface for their product Armotion. Reha Technology wanted this leading medical robotics innovation to sport a professional-looking, touch-display-enabled GUI that would mirror the product’s state-of-the-art technology. They approached us for a GUI module full-recode, and InCrys was happy to take on the exciting project.
OUR CHALLENGES
The first challenge InCrys had to overcome was time: our client needed their product back on the market with the new GUI as soon as possible, so our deadline had to be pretty tight.
Another exciting challenge was working with the touch-enabled screens and making sure all features were ’translated’ into their touch-responsive counterparts. Our team found this to be the most interesting and demanding part of the project.
THE INCRYS SOLUTION
The crucial first step of our project was finding the right professional to manage the job and to map-out the new GUI. Choosing the right person for the task insured everything runs smoothly from then on. Our lead developer, with extensive interface experience, suggested the best technologies to use to our client, and planned out the entire coding effort.
Reha Technology agreed to our approach, so we set out to deliver as fast as possible, without compromising quality. .Net, Microsoft Blend and C# were used in the development process, and our strong grip of the Agile methodology and the project manager’s hands-on experience with Scrum secured smooth team-client interaction.
THE RESULTS
InCrys managed to successfully complete the entire GUI reprogramming project. Thanks to the Agile approach, the tasks were allowed to adapt and evolve according to our client’s feedback, and some extensions of the initial plan were added to our tasks list. Overall, with the later extensions included, our project spanned across approximatively one year.
‘Our collaboration with InCrys has been effortless and efficient. They’ve managed to complete the project under a tight deadline, and their team’s technological insight was essential in achieving a professional interface for our product. What I liked most about the InCrys team was their flexibility and determination to find a way to accommodate any changes or additional features we might request.’ – Harald Schmitzer, Reha Technology, Vice President Technology
